Well here we are at the end of March. Can it really be? I think I say that everytime. It always amazes me how fast time goes by. I was looking at the boys and thinking how much they have grown in just the few month we have been here. The three of us are doing good, still passing time till Jason's return, which could not come soon enough. Jeffrey is getting ready to start an art class and Jonah has asked me to teach him how to read. So we are keeping busy learning here. Not a bad way to spend time if you ask me. I have just finished my Mass Communication class and received a B. Three cheers for Jessi (I am not at all excited about that :) I will be starting a Phsycology class in the beginning of April, I am also trying to teach myself how to play the piano, a very slow process but one day I will be able to play at least a few hymns. We just got done with our week off of school and are getting ready to start back to another 4 weeks. We will be starting a unit study on continents. I am very excited for this because I wont the boys to understand a map. I get so aggrivated when it takes me forever to find any place, being a military family that just doesn't work. Hope you all are doing well and enjoying your time.
In our Apologia Zoology 1 Science book we learned about bats. Did you know that bats are actually extremely clean animals? We learned that the mommy bats find there pups in the nursery by there smell. Here the boys are seeing if they could find there 'pups'. I put differnt smells on each cotton ball, each boy picked his own cotton ball. After being blindfolded they had to find there 'pup', both boys were able to do it. Jonah's was a peanut butter 'pup' and Jeffrey was a 'soap' pup.

Here are some cool little things that Jason sent back from Singapor for the boys.

Sketching, what fun. Some people do the neatest things. On a blog of a homeschool mom she gives out a sketch challenge. You do the sketch, email it to her and then she will post a slideshow on her blog with all the sketches she has received. I found out about it from another homeschool mom and the boys and I have had fun with it. The very first one was barn animals and the one we just did was 'anything you would find in space' that one ended up being harder than I though. Anyway here are the sketches of those:
Jeffrey's Dog

Mom's horse Jonah's dog
Mom's dipper
Jonah's night sky
Jeffrey's night sky

Here are a few pictures Jeffrey has drawn lately. You should see my kitchen all my cabnets have pictures hanging from them :)

I hope this finds all of you well. We are good here in Washington. We are still working on making it threw the days until Jason returns to us. We are, in the mean time, learning, experiencing and growing. ..
There are just some pictures that I could leave out.

Here is one of Jonah making up one of his many costumes. Here is has on Dragon costume pants, a cape made byDad, a sword made out of a ruler with paper wrapped around it and a mask him and Jeffrey made :)

Here is a picture of Jeffrey. How handsome he is :)

I can never get this boy to give me a good smile. He always has to do something with his eyes :) Oh well, he can't help it, he is just cute no matter what.

Here are the boys at Poulsbo.

This is what we woke up to this morning. It was a crazy 'Washington weather' kind of day. The boys and I had a lot of fun with the snow ball fight.

Here is a picture of my Jeffrey. The boys are given a little time before lights out to look at books. Jeffrey has the lights out, reading by his flashlight. I love to see his doing this. He is reading Because of Winn-Dixie. You go boy!!!!!!!!1

Here are the boys after their St. Patricks Day 1mile run. I was so proud of them. Jeffrey took off on his own and I ran with Jonah. Jonah ran the whole way without stoping and crossed the finished line in 13min. I am sad I wasn't there to see Jeffrey cross but he was a big boy and did it on his own.

Cat in the Hat

There was a Cat in the Hat day at the library. Here is Jonah with whiskers and a Cat in the Hat, hat that he made. The day after we also put whiskers on him, of course later on in the day he thougt it would be really fun and take the paint and paint his whole face. Sorry I didn't get a picture of that one.

We started back this week to our Friday field trip days. Our first field trip was spent at the Pacific Science Center. It was full of gagets to touch, pull and turn. It was amazing how much there was to see there. The boys even got to see their first Imax 3-D movie. It was about life under the sea. I caught Jonah a few times reaching out trying to grab at things. :)

There was a dinosaur exhibit there. There were huge moving dinosaurs, Jonah wasn't to sure at first about going in. Here is a picture, after he started feeling confortable enough, laying in the foot print of one.

Here is another one of Jonah, trapped :)
