school

JeKids are so funny. They sometimes act like the don't understand what you mean and sometimes they actually think they don't understand or know how to do, whatever it is for them to do. (Did you happen to follow that :)
Jeffrey was given the assignment of writing a report. The first thing out of his mouth is "I can't" and "I don't understand." Usually I would explain but we had already went over some sample poems. So I told him to take it to his room and work on it. I was really impressed with what he came back with.

HOW A SNOW FLAKE FALLS

How snow flakes falls is
no mystery because when winter
comes they need to glide like the bird
and when they fall they shine
like diamonds in the sky.
by Jeffrey

SEA SHELLS IN THE WIND
Sea Shells in the wind
sea shells in the wind
The wind is like the sea's roaring,
waves are howling winds,
the ocean blue is the ghostly fog,
and the sea shells sinking to the ocean floor
are the birds gliding to the ground.

  1. Poetry is such a great writing exercise for kids. They are so naturally creative! Jeffrey did a great job!
